Services Offered

The following services are offered at the Sleep Medicine Center:

CPAP MasksPSG (Polysomnogram) - the continous and simultaneous recording of physiological variables during sleep (EEG, EOG, EMG - the three basic stage scoring parameters), EKG, respiratory airflow, respiratory movements, limb movements, and other electrophysiological variables.

CPAP (Continous Positive Airway Pressure) - Breathing system to help you breath during sleeptime by providing positive pressure air via a mask.  The positive pressure air keeps the airway open during sleep to prevent airway collapse.

    PSG/CPAP

MSLT (Multiple Sleep Latency Test) - A series of measurements whereby subjects are allowed a fixed number of opportunities to fall asleep during their customary wake period (usually day time).  Excessive sleepiness is characterized by short latencies (the time measured between going to sleep and actual onset of sleep).  Long latencies are helpful in distinguishing physical tiredness or fatigue from true sleepiness.

    Humidifier - moistened air
